what supplements do you feed

I'm preparing to order some new fish--first in a very long while. I'm replacing my selcon and garlic. Garlic was purchased Jan 2020 but the date is Jan 17! I assume that number/date is the expiration. I also have vita chem that is just over a year old--been in refrigerator. Not sure if that is too old. No date.

Is this a good combo? Is there something better than vita chem?

Thoughts please. I plan to use in the observation tank, and start using in DT so everyone gets in better shape before new fish are added.
