What surge protector is your Apex plugged into?

BRS says to buy a surge protector for the apex. I have two hydra 26 hds, tunze ato, return pump, and etc. Surely, a normal surge protector can't handle all that. What do you use?

I use a computer ups. It has a surge protector built in and will help clean up power from my generator. That being said I do not rely on the ups to power my tank for more than a couple of minutes.

I currently do not have any of my Apex energy bars plugged into a surge protector. Honestly, I am stupid as I removed the plugs from the BRS surge protector to plug them into the energy bars and I have them just sitting there. Thanks for bringing this up as I probably would have never plugged them into the surge protectors THAT I already have.

I would recommend a high joules rated surge protector and limit the number of outlets on the protector in use to just the single energy bar and maybe a low low power item like a USB charger. Even better would be this if you have a standard home circuit; one per energy bar of course. Many people believe that an empty outlet is a usable outlet, but that isn't true and where problems come in and the magic smoke is released.
