What survived on your TBS base rock?

I have no need for more rock but I’m just curious, what survived on your TBS live rock and stayed alive and flourishing ?

So far for me stuff still alive months later:

Bristle Worm ( no clue how big it is )

Feather dusters and they have migrated all around they are so cool!

Grape Macro Algae - also migrates all around (I love it !)

Aiptasia - but I got a peppermint to beat
It it’s all gone I think now

Bubble algae - emerald crab is working on it

Hitchhiker stars though I see them less and less.

Purple sponge - really small I thought it was cyano at first but nope

i didn’t really lose anything but scuds which I think were dead in box.

My rock was pretty clear of nasties which is a good thing saves me the battles

phyllangia, or a hidden cup coral. It's so amazing, because you can't buy them anywhere.

Those are colonial hydroids; removal is generally recommended, as they can sometimes get out of hand, and some kinds have a fairly potent sting.

I ordered a mantis shrimp box from them! Comes the 6th. Ill be curious as to what little friends are on the rocks and in the sand!

Awesome! When I got my rock I did base but part of me wants to get some treasure mixes and replace the base but there is so much life on my rock it would make me too sad to remove it.

None of the macro algae survived on mine. I had a what I think was a decorator crab - put him in my sump - haven't seen him for a while though. Also got a purple urchin that was the size of a dime - it has since tripled in size and is an eating machine. I also got aiptasia that I am working on getting rid of - and *I think* a tunicate that is just plain weird. The rock is really cool though and has really stabilized my tank.

Mine after 2 years: cup corals, brown tunicate, white ball-type sponges growing in the back, loads of feather dusters, spaghetti worms, brittle and microbrittle stars, although the microbrittles are mostly gone or in hiding after the wrasses were added.

Lost a number of different types of sponges and tunicates over time. Black sponge went fast. A red-orange sponge came and went. Red tunicate came and went. Star corals unfortunately didn't last over 6 months--think they got overrun by Valonia and didn't bounce back.

Wow! I got all sorts of stuff, a few red macro algeas, but a turbo snail loved them too much. Small cup coral hasn't really grown but surviving, a red finger gorg, tons of feather dusters, orange tunicates, hundreds of micro brittle stars, many keyhole limpets, 2 hermit crabs, ruby mithrax crab, 2 maybe more porcelain crabs, a pink snail of some sort, a few aiptasia, basic brown flatworms, and some weird translucent jelly creature that has feeding mucus or strings similar to vermetid snails.

So most of my goodies were, well, good. Only a few pests.

serpent and bristle stars, oculina robusta SPS coral, sponge, oyster, a bunch of biovalves, and a bunch of other stuff too numerous to list. It’s amazing stuff!

From what I have seen so far, a brittle star, possibly colonista snails, a few colorless polyps, some small white pineapple sponges, and what appear to be green star polyps but with only a grey color.
