What tang in your experience was the best algae eater?

My foxface doesnt touch hair algae but he did eat all my bubble algae. Id suggest a lawmower blenny for hair algae or sea urchins.

I've voted for Ctenochaetus / film algae, because my two are constantly kissing the glass ... but . . .

I've seen my foxface lo slurping bubbles.

My Quoy's parrotfish spends much of the day rasping the rock, but doesn't seem to have a scintilla of interest in hair algae.

_Something_ has recently completely cleared a couple of rocks of hair algae - but I didn't see it happen, so can't say whether it was the foxface, Ctenochaetus tangs (Kole and truncatus), sea-hare, or something else entirely. The clearing is limited to just a couple of rocks - but those rocks are completely algae-free.

My purple and chocolate tangs are still in QT, but a bit of coral skeleton with hair on it that I placed in QT did get cleaned, hehehe . . .

My yellow tang and foxface pick at rocks, but ignore hair algea.

I would add more, but the yellow tang gave the foxface crap for weeks.

I'm afraid to add more because it was such an butt.

If i could figure out a way to keep him alive while doing it I am fairly certain my foxface could mow my lawn.

lol. it is a funny image. maybe i can make a tiny set of those muffs they put on outboard engines to run them put of the water.
