I have a Red Sea 350 G2 tank and the display is 75 gallons and sump is 16. I am looking to get my first tang soon. There are so many to chose from. I really like the yellow tang, powder blue tang, purple tang, and hippo blue tang. I am thinking of adding 2 tanks to my tank. Are any of those a good option? If not what do you recommend? I have heard that you have to add tangs together at the same time is that true?

At that size, Only the bristletooth tangs are your options. (Tomini or Kole Tangs.)

I could keep a bigger tang and then sell it when it out grows the tank right?

You can get an itty bitty smaller baby version of the bigger Tangs, but people actually getting rid of the fish that they have gotten attached to the 3~4 years raising them up to be adults is almost close to zero.

We just tell ourselves that so we don't feel bad for adding the big Tangs. (No shade against you, we've all been there and done that).

If anything you'll probably find yourselves upgrading to a bigger tank, as you soon realize "huh, why does my 75G look so small?"

Fr I will want to get a bigger tank one day

I would do a bristletooth. I have a yellow, purple, and blue all in a 125 six footer. I had the purple in my 70 for a month before moving it over and he looked huge and was so unhappy in there.

Maybe even look into a dwarf angel instead, having had a bristletooth they are so active and used the whole six feet and swam laps. Might get stressed in there honestly

But if you do go the baby route, DO NOT DO A BLUE HIPPO TANG. Those dudes can squeeze in cracks so small you will wonder how it even got there. You wont be able to fish it out when it gets too big lol. Had my baby blue in a 32 for QT and boy did he give me a run for my money in that small tank when QT was up and it was time to move him to my 125!
