What tank is the best?

I am just getting into the saltwater hobby after years of having freshwater. I currently have a 30 gallon setup. Within the next year I will be upgrading and this 30 gallon tank will be a quarantine tank/ possibly a grow out tank. I am looking to get a 150 gallon tank but I have seen a cool 160 gallon tank. But I hear people on videos saying “this is what I don’t like about it” I understand that’s how society is, some people are never happy in life, but I feel if you drop a couple grand on a tank you should have absolutely no complaints. My question is for the people that have been doing this hobby for some time, Is there a tank brand that stands out to the community, or is it all preference? If I’m spending $4-5 grand or more on a tank I want the absolute best investment. Thank you for your time. I appreciate all feedback

The answers will be based on owner preferences, so you will get many opinions. Having had a retail pet store and attending many shows which I still do, My personal favorites have been:
Oceanic (now only used)
Glass cages
Planet aquarium
Tenecor
Custom Aquariums ( Wisconsin)

Caution on RedSea Aquariums as they have too many tanks out there with poor sealing, leaking and even glass blowout)

Have you checked out Glass Cages or Planet Aquarium? These (and others) build custom tanks. Not sure if your comment about "no complaints" refers to quality or features, but going custom might be the best option if it's the latter.

Personally, I don't see tanks ranked in order of best to worst. Bottom line; any tank that doesn't leak is a quality tank.

Now in terms of aesthetics, tanks can be ranked. Aside from custom tanks, Cade and Red Sea are some of the prettiest tanks out there.

It’s like asking what’s better, ford or Chevy haha. I was hoping there would be a certain tank everyone agreed on but it’s looking like a controversial topic. I would say 5-6 grand would be the most I spend on the tank alone because I have too buy other equipment and stocking the tank with some cool stuff, if I spend too much I may not have a fiancé anymore… haha.

Well a bunch of red sea tanks leaked and seals came apart in previous generation so I would avoid them.

CADE, Waterbox, and IM is nice if you looking for pre-made, custom is always the best imo... you get exactly what you want. Being new to the salt side, you probably don't know exactly what you want yet.

But ya... custom from a quality builder is the best investment if that is what you are after.

I agree, all I know so far is I like the lengthy tanks over the tall tanks, I need a tank that’s atleast 6 ft long or very close too it. and I love black backgrounds. I always painted the back of my tanks black but if I’m spending a lot of money on a tank that would hurt me haha. So far I believe I’m leaning towards Red Sea or WATERBOX but I wanted too expand my horizons

I have 2 IM's and they are nice systems. Take a look at the ext 170, one of the 2 I own. 59×30×21.7 dims = a 135g display plus aluminum stand and sump.
A quality system for a decent price, imo.

Very awesome, I’ve been wanting salt ever since I laid eyes on my grandmas tank as a kid, could never afford it. Got too put these union laborer checks too good use haha. If I set a goal I can hit it, but at the same time the best bang for your buck catches my eye. I also understand patience is key in this hobby but I want too upgrade within a year, not years, I’ve been waiting 15 years since I was 8 years old

Get the biggest system that will fit your space. Small systems get filled in fast, hence you need to upgrade.
Use all live rock and you can have a system up and running with coral and fish in no time.
