What test kit and nutrients to use?

So im setting up my first saltwater tank and am wondering which tests/ test kit do you guys use? Is the api saltwater master test kit good? Would i need the api reef kit as well? Or is there another kit that is preferred? I am also trying to figure out which nitrients i would need to feed my coral, and keeo the tank all around healthy. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When starting off the API test kits are fairly adequate but in comparison to the salifert and red sea and the many other titration based test kits they aren't as accurate so i recommend for at least calcium and alkalinity to use something else other than api, and the nutrients you add will depend on your corals, if you have soft corals water changes will suffice and you can add some amino acid blends or foods if you want but once you start with sps and lps, the more you have that thrive the more calcium and alkalinity you must dose to the aquarium..
