Ok so hopefully I don't step on anyones toes. I have working on starting up a maintenance service. Just a little side gig. What test kits should I always have to be able to test everyones water?

It depends on what type of tanks.... For fish only I'd say nitrate, maybe nitrite and ammonia, ph, refractometer is a must(you prolly already knew that). Reef tank would be the ones mentioned as well as mag/cal/alk. I've been toying with the idea of doing something like this myself

I use salifert but have read good things about Elos and LaMotte (for alk). I'm going to try Elos and LaMotte when my test kits run out.

Salifert I have tried many different tests and found salifert to be the most accurate for calcium magnesium and alkalinity
I agree. I have the cheaper Hanna alk tester and it is super fast. Wish they made a calcium one!!

My favorite are the Hanna checkers at this point, and once you've spent the $50 or so on the kit, the reagents are cheaper, around $8 for 25, so long term those may work well for you if you are doing a higher volume.
