Hey fellow reefers,
My reef tank is currently undergoing an algae bloom. Below are a few photos of the current set it’s in. What is the algae and what can I do before it gets out of control. Currently it is starting to surround a few of my corals and I don’t want them to die from the algae.
My tank is currently furlow at the moment, in the tank currently is a skunk shrimp, Halloween urchin, emerald crab, BTA, several other corals, and a variety of different clean up crew members.
My gem tank, hippo tang, blue throat trigger, 2 clowns, 4 cardinals, 4 fire gobies, social wrasse, and lawnmower are all being held in a quarantine tank recovering from ich and flukes.
I thinking of getting a foxface when my furlow is up to help with the algae but in the mean time any other suggestions I could to do keep the algae at bay until then?
Please any tips of what kind of algae and how to stop it would be greatly appreciated.
