what the heck happened

So i have had this torch for a couple months now has been doing rather well and wake up this mornig to this can anyone tell me if its dead or whats going on

Looks like a head died. Could be a number of things. Need your parameters.

It looks like it could be dead. You can frag the live head from it to remove it from the tank. I don't see any sign of polyps on it. May want to give it some time just to be sure before you frag it.

I have a rainbow torch that lost a head. I didn't frag the good head. But it lived and is thriving. Mine turned out to be it was being hit with direct flow. So when I moved it the remaining head made it.
