What the heck is eating my sps?

When my sps starts to grow real well and develop nice 1/8" white tips the next day the tip will be all chewed up and all the new growth is gone.

I thought it was my Koran Angel or Moorish Idol but I sold both and the problem is still happening.

My tank size is 50x32x32 and these are the fish in the tank:

- Vlamingi Tang
- 2 Hippos Tangs
- Orange Shoulder Tang
- Yellow Tang
- Yellow Kole Eye Tang
- Bi color blenny
- Pair of Clowns
- 5 Chromis
- Melanarus Wrasse
- Bangii Cardinal


Any ideas?

I have a Yellow Eye Kole Tang that seems to love biting at any SPS that has long polyps. Needless to say Ill be catching it tomorrow.

My blenny does push loose frags off that are around his hole in the rock. He also rams hermits that come close. I wonder if it's him.

That sucks! Is nothing reef safe anymore? What is this world coming to?

My moorish idol would bite the tips off certain acros when they would show new growth. I ended up selling him once I figure it out.

Could be a few of those fish. I had a blue hippo tang that nearly shredded a trachyphyllia. The bicolor blenny could be a suspect also. They can be confused with an orange tail blenny which isn't always reef safe. Not saying that's what you have but one of those fish could be the problem. Watch the tank from a distance and try to catch the culprit.

I think it might be the bi color blenny. Now that I think about it. The SPS that has this issue is around where the blenny always hangs out. I also did some reading on google (so it has to be true ) that other people have had their blenny eat SPS. He's a gonner.

Blennys r awesome fish but I put a tribal blenny in my sps tank bought it as a black sailfin blenny which is supposedly reef safe but the tribal defintly wasn't within 3 days he had all my high end sps frags looking like crap he was very tough too catch I ended up getting him to go into a hole in a rock and just pulled whole rock out!
Now I have a lg starry eye that picks up rocks / coral twice his size and throws them wherever he pleases can't catch him

Gonna get a Midas blenny they r the best
