There is this white bug looking thing hitching a ride on my queen trigger fish's top fin!!! What the heck is this?? It has eyes!!! If you blow up the picture you can see it very clearly. It kind if looks like a shrimp or something. This is a fish only tank and the trigger is the only one in there. We did feed it some live crabs the other day. Do you think it has something to do with that??? Should I be concerned??

once i brought home a rock from the ocean with a few blennies i caught..
thank god i had them in a qt that rock was full of those blood sucker.
i walked by and saw them swimming all over the place and they were on my blennies! i had no choice but to catch each individual blenny and tweeze them off one by one!! hurry and get that one before its too late!!! i cant even imagine the damage they wouldve done if i put that rock in my D.T :0

I wouldn't suggest it copper can and will get into the rocks and could stay there and resurface someday you may want a shrimp or hermits one Day and copper is murder to them. I would suggest putting him in a qt wait for that thing to get his fill and swim off or take it off yourself.

we were able to knock it off of him but now it's in the tank somewhere. if I get this one out do you think there are more in the tank and will I be able to see them if I take all my rock out in look. I'm worried there could be more that I don't see. this tank was set up to be only a predator tank so we won't have cruststations in there or coral so I don't mind coppering it if that will fix the problem. How fast do these grow? Do you think it came from the live crabs I put in there I bought from a bait shop? Could eggs hatch and grow that big in only 5 days?

The best thing you can do is wait. It would be hard to find him by asking your whole tank apart. My best advice is to wait till he reappears pull out the fish with him detach and toss! It may be the only one, if you had more you would see them when the lights go out. Don't panic just yet. Get some tweezers and pluck that puppy off!
