thing in my aquriam, found it underneath my yet to be identified mushroom I got from a friend , is it a pest or hitchhiker?? I'm so scared it might eat my corals....
I only found it yesterday and done 2 water changes but it's still alive, I think I've seen another in my aquarium..., what chemicals should I use as I'm scared it might spread and grow more, it has claws

That's a porcelain crab - harmless, and known to occasionally be hosted by mushrooms.

It's a porcelain crab and are generally considered reef safe! If you like crabs then they're a keeper! Depending on your stocking you might need to overfeed or target feed the little dude but otherwise they'll mostly just exist on leftovers.

Yeah, I'm assuming this thread was made in relation to the now removed thread from earlier - a lot of people have genuine questions like this though (and porcelain crabs are pretty neat, so I figured I'd answer anyway).

Keeper!! They'll host RFA's and some other nems that clowns might not host. Cool little guys that stay small like emerald crabs
