What the heck is this?

Hi, I’ve just added fish today, and was just watching my tank more than usual (these are the first fish to be in my tank). And I saw this on my power head

It’s the white flakey stuff at the base/suction cup of the power head. What is this? It’s not on anything else.

looks to me like salt buildup. even if its not it doesn't look like something you should worry about

A dead dude with one arm and one leg? I can't tell what that is. Is it possible to get it outta there without seeding the tank?

just take the powerhead out, wipe it off, soak it in citric acid, and put back. you'll need to clean the powerhead anyway from time to time.
