My co worker has a great saltwater tank which is how I ended up getting into the hobby, even though I'm still gathering my equipment. Anyway he recently noticed something new in his tank he has never seen before. I figure it could be a hitch hiker but I'm too new to know anything. He will take a better picture soon but here is what he was able to send me. I dont think it's doing any harm to anything, just curious. My guess was a blue twisted metal clown head

Haha! I was gonna say the same thing but figured I shouldnt:D but yes, a better picture is needed my friend

I told him same thing after I wasn't able to figure this to be anything which is why I thought to ask the more experienced guys. I was hoping this photo would help but wasn't holding my breath. He said he was going to take another photo and send it to me. I'll post as soon as I get it. This is what it looks like to me..

I asked him if he was sure it was even living and he told me it's moving throughout his tank

Twisted metal! Sweet tooth!

So yesterday he went to the local saltwater fish store and they immediately identified this mystery as "red algae" which they said was good for the tank.
