Look like brittle starfish arm.

So I thought that also I poked at it with a stick and it is a worm is moves very quickly

Could be a bristle worm but I'm not sure

I am going to set traps tonight and get back to you guys

I set my trap. They are still out I am 50/50 it does look like a brittle star but I don't think they look like this. And I tried to grab one and it srank which was wierd.

Because this tank isnt a reef I don't know if it's like the starfish you are thinking of.

Look for worms articles by Ron shimeck , most of what I've seen if his on the net is from Oregon to Canada. and also poke our local wildlife sites. It should be Natuve to Baja to past big sur.
It's quite likely not a fish hunter just looking at the head.
