Just spotted this in my tank a couple days ago. No shell that I can see. Is it good? I can't decide if it's cute or butt ugly.

Yes, stomatella snail. They will breed readily without you trying and are primarily nocturnal. Great microalgae eaters.

Stomatella! I have hundreds of them that start migrating up the glass just before lights out. My tank glass is covered with them at night. Good to have!

Lol's @Paul B I'd love to know how one of those got into my tank! I started with dry rock! And from the size, it's been in there quite a while. Thanks to all who replied!

I have no Idea but my tank has been set up for decades and I occasionally get one of those. One of them got huge but very cool looking. It scared me to death once when I heard a noise in my kitchen and it was making itself a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

They can hitch hike on anything. I too started with all dry rock and have one good sized stomatella and just found a baby the other day. They are great for our tanks and an excellent part of the cleanup crew

I started with dry rock as well. I am confident my first one came in on my first montipora frag and now I have a population.
