What the heck is this!?

So I can home from work today and saw a line of what looks like eggs maybe? Or I really have no idea. Anyone have any idea??

Does it look like sand? Some worms and pods make little “sand tubes”.

Or does it look more like snail eggs? Cerith snails have squiggly egg patches but I’ve never seen one go in such a straight line.

Not sure exactly what snail eggs look like but my initial thought was eggs of some sort. I do have quite a few cerith snails in the tank, got a crew from reef cleaners that has quite a bunch. They move around with the water flow if that helps? I don’t know if the tubes are hard or can flow as well

I have a clean up crew from reef cleaners also and came home today to a really similar egg string on my glass. I'm assuming snail eggs.

Ok that’s good to hear! If that is snail eggs it’s incredible how many such a small creature can lay!

Yeah definitely looking like that. All the pictures seem to show them laying eggs on the glass, is it common on rock work as well?

On a separate note does the white stuff in the second picture look like coralline algae?

They will do it anywhere. lol

That last pic used to be something for sure but it’s hard to know what exactly.

I think the white stuff in the 2nd pic is a sponge of sorts.
