So this is the second time I came across this worm when cleaning my algae turf scrubber. What kind of worm is this? should I be concerned?

Good call as it is a peanut worm. Peanut worms derive their common name from an alleged resemblance to a shelled peanut, though it is a stretched version of a peanut. These worms make a living ingesting organic matter from sand and silt. They often live in discarded snail shells (Turbo, Cerith), making these the hermit crabs of the worm world, otherwise buried in the sand

Bristle worm.

Thanks! yea, I would of known if it is a bristle worm as I see them from time to time after doing a coral dip. Appreciate identifying this as a peanut worm... I assume it doesn't hurt anything and just gross :-)

Yea they are harmless.. They used to be pretty common with live rock.. You would only see part of them come out once in a while..
