after looking at it further it appears to be a shell-less fan worm...any thoughts?

I can't see it, either. If it looks like a shellless fan worm, it's probably a fan worm that left its shell due to unsuitable conditions. Not much else looks like a fan worm.

For anyone that can't watch the video I made a screencap. The worm is along the edge of the plug.

After looking at it further, I agree that I think it's a peanut worm (which based on what I've read is harmless to your reef). I've never had one that I know of, so I'm just going based on what I'm seeing and reading. @ReefSquad check this out. If you watch the video, you get a good idea of what it is you're looking at.

yup, it’s definitely a peanut worm, interesting what things manage to randomly show up in your tank when you least expect it. thanks for the replies!
