Not sure if this is just me but I can’t see the picture you posted not sure I would be any help anyways because I just got my first saltwater tank sorry

I can't see it, either. If it looks like a shellless fan worm, it's probably a fan worm that left its shell due to unsuitable conditions. Not much else looks like a fan worm.

After looking at it further, I agree that I think it's a peanut worm (which based on what I've read is harmless to your reef). I've never had one that I know of, so I'm just going based on what I'm seeing and reading. @ReefSquad check this out. If you watch the video, you get a good idea of what it is you're looking at.

Do you know if they are able to make more of themselves if i only have 1? i've got only 1 and it's a thicc boi.

it is one of the Phascolosoma sp worm, AKA Peanut worm. It is a great animal for our tank as a clean up creature. I love them, they have a rather large body that are hidden. The part that is seen is just about 1/10 of the whole animal.

yup, it’s definitely a peanut worm, interesting what things manage to randomly show up in your tank when you least expect it. thanks for the replies!
