Yep. Get rid of it . It’s called plague
When removing it from the plug you will want to get as much off as possible. It can grow back from a surprisingly small piece, even if all the polyps are removed.

I may be one of the few here that really like it... the way it pulses is really cool.
I would just move it somewhere more contained. It basically grows exponentially by splitting and seems to follow path of the flow.
You will need to trim it back at some point to avoid it crowding out other coral. Keep it somewhere easy to access and watch for them occasionally jumping off their island.

Pom Pom pulsing Xenia to be exact
I love this stuff and helps with nitrate reduction in my tanks

On the back of the cap on this plug is some zoas that you can just see the tip of. I am referring to the branching piece. It is definitely pulsing.

My wife loves Xenia in my tank with the pulsing .Only reason I choose to keep a small piece of Xenia is on an island but that island grows to be a continent in no time ! Nothing like finding small Xenia’s back under the base rock where it had separated from the larger colony which it will do .
I remove those with long tweezers by grabbing them
And making a quick downward motion detaches most of time ! If there is a little live left I will throw some epoxy on top of it !
Anyway I am tempted every day to remove the whole colony . Just not worth the maintenance.

This is the frag plug from hell :) Throw the whole thing away.

I really like my xenia, makes things look more dynamic. I just cull it every month or so and it its fine.

Xenia, bubble algae and possibly bryopsis. Keep an eye on the green hairy thing also, if it starts feathering - kill it with fire.

Great picture - usually identification pictures are very blue and blurry.
There is some bryopsis. It’s not tons , but it’s growing. Just added 2 turbo snails on top of the 4 margaritas I have. Should I be concerned with this stuff ?

As far as I know, nothing eats bryo. Adding snails on top of it is the worst possible combination. Bryo attaches to snail shell, snail spreads it all over the tank. Unless you are absolutely attached to this coral - I'd say dump it. It will cost you a lot of money in the long term.

I guess it’s probably best to toss it. Thanks
