Bad pump from factory. They should not be loud. With Jebao you get what you pay for, and sometimes they don't work great or have problems from the start. I use them in several applications, just do a warranty return.

Jebao isn't known for their build quality control. You could get one that lasts 5+ years or you could get one that whines out of the box.

Try replacing the controller. I’ve had a few jabeo and have noticed the controller is the first to quit

Mine kept clogging until I added a prefilter sponge. May be whats causing it a piece of algae detritus etc caught in the impeller.

id pull it apart, and see whats up. if its squeeling its may have a mechanical issue, either way if its not somethin you can address, get a replacement. Mine have all been flawless and dead silent. I have a dc2000 for my calcium reactor that has been running at 5 years and I have never cleaned it.

Im not wprried about the noise im worried about fluctuating flow

if the pump is set correctly for the overflow, so it’s not running out of water, which would cause fluctuations, I would return as I can’t see a running in period would ever fix that issue.

I have four of them, quiet and reliable day-in-and-day out. Sorry to say, I think you just got a bad apple.

Yep. I bought two for my tank. Within a couple days the one stopped working. Luckily there were two controllers and all the extra pieces in one of the boxes. It’s like they knew.

It should be dead silent that DC Jebao.
The spindle is bent or damaged and the blades are scraping.
Sorry.
