What is this? It just appeared a few days ago. The pic probably isn't that great, what I'm asking about is the grey thing on the right. It's a blueish grey with orange spots on it.

looks to be some sort of soft coral. Does it feel firm and a little soft with a bit of leather feel. My guess is a type of leather. At this point hard to tell type

I haven't done anything with that group of corals in a few months and I have no other leathers could it have taken that long for it to show up?

The could have been cut off or attached to the rock before you bought it. Prob a little piece was left behind from when the seller or wholesaler removed it.

Yes there are 2 bubbles in there that I gotta get out but that's not what I'm asking about

I looked at a lot of pics of bubble algae and the "skin" is too thick not at all transparent and the spots are different

Leather or sponge. Now we gotta know. So, yes keep us posted as it grows. I'm intrigued. I'm still betting a type of sponge. I'd love for it to be a leather instead, though.
