Backstory: inherited a beautiful 180 gallon saltwater tank with our house. Houses about 11 different fish, a chocolate chip starfish, a brittle star, and a host of snails and I think there may be two hermit crabs. It's got a five stage filtration system. All the levels are looking good, nitrates, ammonia, salt, temperature... reading right as it should.
The only thing we've done different in the past month is we added vitamins (Vitachem) and give them seaweed every day because our blue tang was looking like she was sick and is now doing much better.

Anyways. I need to know (cause I'm still really new to this), is this red algae growing on the rock? How do I get rid of it? Is it going to hurt my fish? How are our levels still good if this is growing?

Thanks for the help!!

Is it slimy? It looks like cyano

Is it slimy? It does look hairy. You can siphon it out during a water change. Cyano can smother corals if it gets too bad.
