A few days ago me and my dad were staying up late watching for our clownfish to hatch it was the second night of being up late and we were both pretty tired... So when we started to see lots of little animals swimming in a group by the front glass we started our siphon and started sucking them up we were suprised at how many clownfish there were and we kt thinking that the clowns seemed smaller than usual to us but we still collected them anyways... After putting the baby "clownfish" in their tank we went to bed the next morning when i woke up i noticed that the clownfish babys werent clownfish babies but they were actually some really tiny shrimp. Does anybody else have these in there aquarium? The next night me and my dad went to see if the shrimp were out again and they were. So does anybody know what these are or have them in their aqquarium.

There are many possibilities. Do you have any pictures of them?

CJ

no i didn't have a camera at the time and the camera i have i doubt could take pictures of somthing that small

Tthe shrimp are pretty clear but have a red tint like i said they don"t come out till night and stay close to the sand bed they are to small to catch with a net

Could be mysis shrimp, amphipods, copepods, newly hatched shrimp (do you have any pairs?), etc.

I thinkmits probably brine shrimp or mysis shropimp if thats possible about a year ago i poured some live brine shrimp and eggs (mostly eggs ) into my refugium sontheres a chance they might of survived...

Yeah thats what i was thinking there the perfect size to feed to the clowmfish when they get big enought

Probably not brine shrimp. They need to go through the cyst phase, which is almost impossible in the tank. Also, don't put brine shrimp eggs in your aquarium. There are many things that will eat them and die because they can't digest them! Be sure to hatch or decapsulate them first.
