What to do about fedex

so I bought some corals from uniquecorals.com and had them ship out yesterday for delivery today. Unique corals indeed shipped the package yesterday as promised but now fedex did not come. I called them twice already and the first guy blamed the delay on severe thunderstorms and could not guarantee even tomorrow delivery. The second time I called they told me the package wouldn't be here until Monday. Here is the fedex tracking number
782568904227. Are they pretty much guaranteed doa on Monday? It's a mixture of lps/sps. Am I basically at a loss of the money I spent now?

I would contact unique corals right away.. I think most venders track shipments so they could already be aware of the issue, what does it say about there delivery guarantee on there web site? I doubt very much anything will survive until Monday.

I shot them an email. They seem to have a strong guarantee but since this is not really there fault or mine I am not sure. Anyway I'll hope they will come tomorrow instead of Monday

Akaemu, as an employee of fedex express I would like to extend an apology. What the guy on the phone told you was true in a sense. Right now our major hub (memphis) is suffering from terrible storms and this is why your package is delayed. You can do a quick google search about the rainstorm issues down there right now, the national guard was even deployed to help rescue people from their homes. I know this probably won't comfort you much, but at least you know you're not being lied to!

I made an order over night with fedex and the driver knows we open at ten when it didn't show I called fedex and they said it would be there next day driver stated he attempted but no one was there is is where it get good . My tank is at my family store we have cameras every where remember the stated attempt well tape showed a 50 mph attempt because he knew we where closed . Well when I called back and brought light to this stated attempt my package was there with in an hour driver didn't even look us in the eye just came in with his head down

Every thing was alive and healthy I should ad it was winter and temps where 10 degrees or less

I will go out on a limb here but i bet uniquecorals.com will take care of you. i have bought a bunch of stuff from them they are very good people. give them a call. the office gal is wonderful. best of luck to you

I would like to add we do a lot of shipping and fedex has alway tried there best and my problem was one driver and we they new the situation they did every think the could

I absolutely hate FedEx. They can't meet you, the website wouldn't work for me to sign for my new phone. I had to drive an hour one way just to pick it up because they don't ship on Saturdays and needed a signature. Who the heck doesn't work Monday through Friday..how is anyone supposed to get a package that requires a signature if they are doing what most Americans do...WORK.

I won't even describe my conversation because I wanted to be politically correct. But the fellow on the other end asked for my dog tag ID instead of my tracing number :/

Probably to late now but you can sometimes call the hub and go pick up the package at the hub. I know here I have done that a couple times

The package is 733 miles away according to tracking. I have two kids not happening

Thankfully for that I just feel bad because it isn't uniques fault. I just hope if they can fix whatever arrives dead that they can at lest get there shipping charge back as I'm sure overnight from ca to md was more then what I was charged to start.
