What to do after coral battle ?

Few weeks ago i placed an Scolymia and Trachiphillya too much together, and battle begins at night, lucky the trachipillya damage was litttle and now is doing well and recovering.

My questions is, what should i have done (protocol, treatment) if :

- the damage was big and i could take trachy out of the tank.

- the damage was big and i couldnt take out of the tank.

If you're able to remove it from the tank I've read that you can dip the coral in an iodine dip mixture or something like Revive to try and prevent infection and help it recover. If you can't remove it, spot feeding may help it recover faster.

I recently had a brain coral get stung by a torch when my urchin picked up the torch and dropped it on top of the brain. It was there overnight so it did some pretty significant damage. Over the course of a few days the tissue receded and exposed some of the coral skeleton on the side that got stung. However, since then the brain coral has recovered well and is already starting to grow new tissue back over the damaged area. I have been spot feeding it a bit more since the damage, but other than that I've left it alone.
