What to do now...

Thank you for confirming what I was already thinking ! Ordering a salifert kit here shortly. And I'll be picking up some zoa's, and hopefully a hammer this afternoon. Thank goodness for tax season !

Well, I went to Simply Saltwater Aquatics today, and picked up a zoa frag pack (Vamps in drag, rastas, fruit loops, Blondie's and Candy apple reds), an utter chaos plug and a branching hammer. Brad (SSA) is an awesome person with awesome pricing ! (I am in no way affiliated with SSA, just a happy customer!)

Anyway, everything is doing well, and the hammer is fully open and flowing, the utter chaos & Blondie's are fully open, fruit loops & rastas are about half way open, and the vamps in drag & candy apple reds are working on opening already ! As soon as I can figure out my camera (not using my phone) I'll snap some pics and get them uploaded !
The new salifert test kit, as well as some coppersafe, prazipro, ammonia badge and an API copper test kit are on the way =)
As soon as I get those things, I will be setting up a QT and get things ready for the first fish... Now I just gotta figure out which one I want to add first, lol.

Ok everyone, I got the slaifert test kit and here are the readings...

pH. 8.0
Nitrates. .25 - .50
Phos. .5 o_O
Cal. 490
Alk. 8
Mag. Never changed to blue or grey...only got darker purple.

Sg is 1.026 . I am using a swing arm hydrometer, but I am calibrating it off of Randy's DIY test solution.

A couple of my zoa's still won't open all the way, and I am getting the nitrates & phos lower by doing water changes. The Utter Chaos is always completely open and colorful. The hammer coral is doing absolutely wonderful ! Always out, flowing, and colors looking good !
I have a 2 bulb T5 and the Orbit Marine IC led set at 100 blue / 65 white (ramped up to this over the past few days)

Any comments ?
