In my search for second hand equipment for a display refugium, I’ve come across this:
- 20g tank w lights, HOB filter and heater
- 20 pounds of live rock + live sand
- 7 frags of what this guy calls mushrooms but don’t look like mushrooms. Softies for sure
- 1 ocellaris clown
- 1 engineer goby (5 inch)
- “about 5” small hermit crabs
Guy claims to have had the fish over a year. Says a nem died last summer and killed off all other corals and he’s done w the hobby. Been feeding just pellets. Doesn’t seem very knowledgeable.
I plan on purchasing a 2nd clown and a 2nd engineer goby for them to pair up w.
I was just going to go the 30 days observation route until I heard he added the corals 2 weeks ago without dipping them or quarantining in any way.
What would you do before adding to DT?
