I don't think so, as I've seen several local reefers have one in 125's and on youtube.
But, someday we may go again, and step up to a 200g we had in the 90's.

lol,...right. Our 200g was full of many types of fish, larger and small worked out great with our Clown Trigger named Bubba Joe.
We could sit in front for hours. Wonderful and beautiful hobby !

What to do when you can't have a fave fish? I just go to my LFS and just stare at their tank.
I always wanted to keep couple dwarf Angels. Maybe my next tank just fish only atleast 75g to keep the cost down.

The Clown Trigger is a favorite, and will have one in the new 125, but it does not comply to my thread because we can have it.
But, another one is the Gold Flake Angelfish. My Lord,...is she pretty, but the cost is over what I'll spend on any fish. I've heard once in a while,
they can be on sale around 200 bucks. If true, I'll give it serious,....thought !

I lost a goldflake in qt, that was a tough pill to swallow. I replaced him with his poor cousin, the flagfin, which is a beautiful fish in their own right, the yellow in person is like a metallic yellow.

A clown trigger will outgrow a 125g, but normally due to their aggression. They do grow slowly and if you start with an itty bitty one, they will grow up more friendly. I've raised a few baby clown triggers, I can usually keep them in a 125g for about 4 years. You can enjoy a clown trigger in a 125g if you get a really small and understand that one day he will need to go to a larger tank. Please beware of post that only reveal a short period of success.

My dream fish of all time is a Japanese Dragon Eel. However, being 14 the price just isn't feasible right now. Maybe for a generous birthday gift or when i get older, sigh.

Countdown the days when hopefully the kids are through college and moved out and converting bedrooms into fish rooms....

Then if I feel that a larger tank would not be safely supported in the home start saving money to add on to the house with a concrete slab...... definitely much cheaper and easier than selling my house and building one with a basement. LOL

We plan on getting another 200g when he grows out of the 125g.

We did that back in the 90's with our 75g in-wall then "Bubba"moved into his palace Oceanic 200g.

I've had a hundred favorite fish over the years. So many wonderful fish; never enough money, time, or tanks. For me I guess it's just enjoy it while I can, I do have some large tanks and have had tanks ranging from 14g to 300g. Currently I have 2 x 40B, a 90, and a 210. My favorite fish today is a blackfoot lion, he's in one of the 40B. The only tank I never built that I wanted to, was a shark and ray tank.

A pair of tomato clowns, I always loved them. I have over 30 BTA's but I already have 3 ocellaris in a magnifica and I won't risk putting them in trouble.

My next and last large fish for my tank is the Goldflake Angel.... just beautiful and relatively coral safe as far as the large Angels go. I pick up my Blonde Naso next week and in a few months I’ll work on finding the “right” Goldflake... can’t wait!!

I got the goldflake from NY Aquatics, it was $430 shipped. I match my sg in qt to the incoming sg, it was 1,017 with a note that said "do not add bag water to tank", I immediately knew chances of survival was slim. This indicator is what I call a "dirty trick", low sg and a drug cocktail. This keeps parasites and diseases at bay, not cure, and likely creates stronger resistance to cure. I could not clear severe case of internal parasites, the fish languished for about 3 weeks and then died, there goes your 2 week guanantee, an actually false sense of security. I called them out on their "dirty tricks", not a place I would recommend.

Goldflake angels do many times come in with internal parasites, so treatment is paramount, but the "dirty tricks" makes it so so much harder.

Just curious what the “indicator “ was about the goldflake angel @lion king? Every order I have ever acquired has instructed to not add that water to the tank. Just trying to educate myself really.
