What to do with back glass? Clear or rock covered

Hi all,
so, what to do with a back glass (not black panel)? Leave room between glass and rock to clean it or "who cares" and place rocks all way back and leave more front room for swimming?

I'd personally try to cover the rock with gsp and therefore leave room in the back for cleaning and flow.

I always leave room.....for both reasons you just stated. I keep it clean and scrape it like the rest of the tank...plus I like the improved flow throughout the tank.

I agree but I never follow my own advice and end up getting detritus trapped between rock and wall lol that being said, if you don’t mind not getting access to it, I say go for it.
My 25 gallon has rocks build on the back almost all the way up with powerheads hidden in there to keep the detritus from accumulating.

Thing is, right now back glass is all accesible but want to add more rock and need to go higher on some structures and realice that will be very difficult to get without using that wall as support.
I guess water flow is more important to look for than cleaning for aesthetics.
