What to do with extra baby brine shrimp.

I'm hatching eggs for my Ruby red scooter in QT. I'm using a quarter of a package, and there's a still a lot of babies swimming around. I believe they're only nutritious for 24-48 hours. Is there anything I can do with the extra? Can I drop them in my DT for the fish to feed on? Can I freeze them?

if they are live you do not have to worry but if they are dieing than do something to remove them

Dump them in the DT. The fish will be lining up to hug you.

You can enrich them with Selcon to make them more nutritious after the 24hr mark.

I'm just throwing it all in to the DT typically, and if the fish don't get them corals will.
But..... I also hatched a few extra, and threw them into a small plastic tank with some WC water. I mean if you're going to throw it out anyways, might as well try to experiment with it. So every week, I do a water change on the growing brine shrimp, and after about a month, I have adults who clearly have eggs on them. I harvested a baster full, put them into a small container with water from my display, (sieved and returned the BS water back to the tank) and put a drop of selcon into it. Water turned milky white of course. About an hour later though, the water was clear. So the BS had filtered most of the selcon out of the water. Fed them to the fish, and they chased them down and gobbled them up quick.

Edit: I fed the brine shrimp phyto and spirulina to grow them out. It's kind of expensive feed, but I had it. When I run out, I'm probably just going to try to feed them spirulina and maybe a pinch of brewer's yeast, and enrich them with selcon before I feed. Alternatively.... you could also just feed them selcon.

You just add the selcon to the water? You don’t bind it with anything first, like crushed yeast or spiralina powder?

Freeze them to keep them nutrient dense. You may find that your picky fish will start accepting them frozen. I also use them as coral food or to mix up my feeding mix.

Freeze them OR add phytoand a drop of vitamins which keeps them thriving and nutritious
