What to do with macro algae

I have a small 6 gallon that has been holding macro algae for a while now. I would like to transfer some of it to a different tank, but have noticed a invasion of aptasia.

Use, don't use. Use part. Get a peppermint shrimp and hope it eats the aptasia?

I would throw some peps in there and see if you get lucky and they develop an appetite for the "weeds".

100% agree. I personally wouldn't use it in its current state, but that's just me!
