I have a mortar and pestle that I use sometimes but that's a pain and the wife is none too happy about it. You can also just do what I do now and soak the food in tank water for 10 to 15 minutes. The fish that can't eat the big pieces whole just grab one and nibble at it till it's gone. That won't work if you are using an auto fish feeder though. Another option is to dump the whole lot in a food processor with the blade attachment and pulse till the majority of the food is the size your fish can eat. Some will be bigger but the majority will be small enough for them. Take your time and don't over process. Ask for forgiveness from the spouse if you do use the processor.

I’ll do that...thanks

Return them and get a smaller size
Here is a chart of sizes for the Reeds TDO pellets

Can’t return them

My guys are small...I usually crush them up before I feed.
I tried crushing a pellet and it basically turn into powder

I got the innovative marine gourmet grinder for this specific reason. Also I notice that some fish won't touch pellets no matter how small they are but grinding them down my anthias will eat them

All my fish go after them but they can’t eat them. I think the grinder is same thing as the food processor

Maybe sprinkle that powder over clam chowder or a salad?

Funny story. I did the same and still have it 3yrs later. Got lazy soaking and bought smaller ones.
