WHAT TO DO WITH QUARANTINE TANK AFTER USE

What does every one do with there q tank after using it. First time ive ever set one up and Ive had two nice clowns in it that i bought 3 weeks ago. but I want to move them out of it now.
Got a small filter in there which should be mature now , so I would like to hear members opinions on what they do.
Is it best to just throw everything away even though there was no disease on the fish , or should i at least save the filter ?

I tear mine down and store it in the basement. Setting it back up is no issue. I keep enough saltwater on hand to fill it up quickly in the event of an emergency

Clean it up. DRY everything and put into the tank. Cover it and store it until next needed. Make sure you scrub the bacterial film over everything off. When you add water back in, this will cause a small ammonia spike if you don't clean it off. Thicker the layer, larger the spike.
This include the media surface of the filter.

I always keep some HOB filter media in my sump growing bacteria so that if I need it, it can be used immediately in the QT. Everything else is cleaned out and put on a shelf.

3 weeks is a bit short on QT. I do 4-6 weeks.

I have 3 10 gallon QT's that are stored unless in use. I have a 20L with a mature biofilter in the HOB that is used for copper. It stays set up at all times. I also have a 20gallon and 29 gallon that are cycled and used for post copper observation and treatment for parasites with GC/prazi.

With the 10 gallons, I clean everything thoroughly and dry it. I have plastic tubs and I put the tank, the HOB filter and the lid in each tub.
