Hey everyone, so in my Biocube 32 I am running the intank media rack as well as a corallife skimmer v2. Next to the media basket there is just a big open space. Should I put a refugium in there or maybe run Biopellets in a mini max reactor? Or should I only run those things if I have a pretty heavy bioload and I need to nutrient export?

I myself would only run more when needed per a heavy bioload. But I also believe that skimmers are a waste of energy on anything around 30 gallons as water changes are super simple on tanks that size.

Keep it simple. If there currently aren't any issues or a need to run something, leave it empty. Something I've learned in so many years of reefing is less is more and simplicity is king.

Ok thanks I’ll keep it simple and only get one of those things if I need them.
