What to do with water in live rock?

I just got an order of live rock, do i dump the water into my tank?

NO. That water will be vastly different than yours, chemically, and will throw off your parameters. Do NOT dump that water into your tank. Any time you order fish, or coral, you never put the bags water into your tank for this same reason.

Not always. It just depends on whether your rock has a copepod population on it or not. If you want pods I would buy them from one of our sponsors here.
