So this is probably a common question yet still one I can't truly decide on which way to go..... I recently came into a nice jackpot of getting some previously used live rock that has been sitting dry for over a year.... Its BRS reef saver rock, I'm just deciding if I should re-cure or rinse and introduce a little at a time to my system? I don't have any corals yet because I'm trying to redo my lighting situatio.... Cure it first in a tote or trash can because even though it's dry it can still have organics or locked nutrients. I once added some old tonga that had been sitting in my shed for 10 years and within 2 weeks I had algae everywhere and some sps browned out on me. I have about a 100lbs of that rock soaking in seawater with brisk circulation for over 2 months now and I do weekly 100 percent water changes. it's for my 10 year old's 29 gallon biocube he's setting up

I figured that would be my route, just seems a lot of waste of salt and RO/DI water but in the end it's probably worth it... Needed more of an opinion I guess! Not totally comfortable doing an acid wash though considering BRS just did a nice video on curing and using an acid method! I'm still a novice going on 3 years so I tend to lean the safe route! ;)
