What do I do? Wait until ammonia and nitrite drop? Or do a water change? How long will it take for ammonia and nitrite to drop at this point?

Wait. And it may tank a very long time. From your perspective an eternity. From the perspective of a successful reef just a month or so.

Lol I’m not rushing I just wanna make sure things are good the more info the better

Is this a new tank or a an already existing tank? If its new than I would say leave it buy if you have live stock I would do a water change.

Was where you are at 1 year ago. I'll give you the advice I got.
Option 1: Frequent water changes, up to every other day, 20-30% of the water. Will take 2-6 weeks of this.
Option 2: Same amount of water changes but 50% of the water. Will take 2-4 weeks I think.
Sorry, know it sounds like forever, but that's Saltwater fish!

Also, dosing to bring it down won't work. I thought of that and glad I didn't do it. Not a real fix, just temporary and then the system can crash when you stop. Good luck!

It’s a new tank I just don’t want to remove any established bacteria I have already I want the bacteria to be plentiful
