Ok so I guess I am not really new to reefing but I have a very limited knowledge in it. I have a custom 60 gal all in one cube. I have a protein skimmer and using sechum matrix in the “sump”. I keep hearing every one talk about different reactors and dosing in there tank. I don’t understand the point. I keep mostly lps and a nem in my tank and everything looks ok not crazy good but ok.
my parameters are stable and for the most part good(have an issue from time to time with ph being low).
I have been told this hobby can be as simple as you want or as complex as you want. Do I need to be doing more with filters or am I fine? Like I said limited knowledge.

You are fine. If you keep it simple and dont tinker things will be just fine. When an issue does arise then its time to talk about all the fancy stuff.

If everything is doing ok I would leave well enough alone..

it’s as complicated as you want to make it, I have a small AIO with a couple LPS and softies that I do absolutely nothing to.. no testing, no additives, no skimming and practically no water changes and the tank does just fine, not much growth but everything is surviving for years. I also have a tank that gets the full royal treatment with lots of extra equipment, testing and regular water changes.

I agree with everyone else. If things are going great no need to mess with it. That is true this hobby can be simple or complicated depending on what types of coral etc......

They're not doing all that dosing and water treatment just to show off (well, maybe just a little.. lol ;Shamefullyembarrased )
Most do it because they find they need to to maintain their desired water quality and parameters, or to have to do less by hand.

Your system sounds solid. I wouldn't change a thing. Just be prepared. One day your corals will get bigger and bigger and you'll be dosing to maintain alkalinity and calcium as well.
