What to do?

I've just notice my tank of top off water has a slight greenish tint. I like to keep many gallons on hand in case I have to leave town. Has anyone else had this problem, especially those with large tanks and can I still use this water?

Does light get into the tank? Green is usually algae in seawater unless you have been sanding or stripping green paint nearby?

I store my new seawater in a blackout tank. It is unlikely that a bit of algae in the top off water will have any lasting impact on your tank but it is best to address it.
