I was informed about a neighbour that recently passed away due to non COVID-19 related issues .

I was asked by his family if I would be interested in having a look at his aquarium to see if anything would be of use to me .

I looked at it and the only thing that would be if any use was the 1.5 bags of salt ( io and io reef crystals )

I grabbed a few fake decorations as well but not sure if I will ever use them in my reef .

I have always used salinity reef salt .

Is it advisable to use the reef crystals or purple bag of io just to use it up ?

Salinity publishes a range of ALk it will mix to at 35ppyt of 9.5 - 10.5 dkh which is pretty close to IO (11dkh)

If you a mixinhg for 10% water changes I don't think the corals will notice


RC is supposed to mx to 13dkh.
