What to feed a banded trochus snail?

I have a banded trochus snail in my new tank, it’s doing just fine. But there is very little to no algae in the tank for it to eat, I don’t want it to stave so I was thinking about feeding it some macro algae (chaeto) from my sumb. But I just want to know if that’s an okay diet to feed the snail, and how much will I need per day. How much of the algae should I put in the tank for it?

Not sure if it will eat chaeto.

When in a similar situation, I rubber band some nori to a piece of rubble and place on the sand bed.
