I got a pair of tank-raised ocarllis (I know, butchered spelling) clowns a few days ago.

They aren't eating. I've tried frozen mysis shrimp, and Spectrum pellets for small fish (I think may be too small for them)

Any suggestions on what to feed them? How often to feed them as well?

Its pretty normal for them to not eat the first day or 2 while they get use to the new surroundings. You need to find something with garlic in it, ENTICE by seachem works well to soak their food in.

I have two tank raised clowns in my qt. the spit out anything frozen. they go crazy for prime reef flakes.

Usually tank raised will eat any thing. Sorry for difficulties. Hope you have success. Are any parameters out of wack which could stress them.

I have seen tank raises eat in the acclimation cup.

thanks. I got them on friday night.. so they've been here for 2.5 days at least.

water testing came out great. Nothing there. I'll look into the Seachem.. I really don't want to use flakes if possible.

Try some selcom or garlic to mix in with their food, it will get them to try it at least. I would go with selcom for future, but for now try the garlic

Exactly how big are they? My little occies...well, the bigger one can eat the nls small fish but the little one can't. Neither will touch frozen mysis because it's just too big. They love minced bloodworms and nutramar ova (I think few fish would turn down crustacean eggs...) I don't feed them brine shrimp at all.

They also tend not to go for food that isn't moving in the current. If I turn the powerheads off to feed they ignore the food (though I haven't tried that with their favorite, the ova, yet.)

When I first got my fancy clowns, they would only eat frozen cyclops. They'll eat anything now.

I just got mine and they eat mysis shrimp... Also notice them eating some copepods... Maybe yours have been eating copepods as well and are avoiding the food for now. I thaw the frozen mysis in sep container and only feed the mysis with my finger to try to keep the water out of the tank.
