What to feed Duncan coral?

What I call med random flow. Not so hard it blows the coral to the other side of a bare bottom tank in a split second, but strong enought to push it to the other side after about 5 min. Its hard to describe. But pushed one way then the other is a good thing.

It could be the vibrant because you are changing your water chemistry. They do like good light and what I call medium random flow.
Was it doing well before?
How long have you had it?
Are your tank numbers steady or?

It was doing good before, and I have had it since May and it has grown out really well. I think the vibrant change did it. the tank is very stable

it has a doser that keeps things in check, maybe I need to feed it a little more? I only feed my coral once a week. fish is every other day.

For light med to strong. They will live in low light but not do well. The one pictured is under a AI Prime 50% and about 16" from the light under about a 8" of water.

I feed meaty bits, LPS pellets, or coral feast daily. Mine seems to have no preference when it comes to med vs high flow, and also seems to thrive in med to high lighting. It is my safety sensor in the tank though, the second one thing goes slightly off the duncan turns into an angry flower instead.

frozen; enriched brine, mysis, rodifers, fish eggs, calanus,
this is mixed some times with phytofeast and oysterfeast
If I can remember when feeding the fish, it gets some live white and black worms.
Im sure it captures some pods I see crawling around.

+ 1 on black worms; I use dry ones mixed with a little tank water

Good numbers.
You might try turning off any powerheads so it opens up then feed it with a turkey baster or syringe.

65g, feed them 20ml phyto Monday, 20ml zooplankton wed, 20ml fuel Tuesday Thursday, direct feed mysis on fridays.

I have fed mine brine shrimp twice this week. Didn't know if I should change it up or if I need more

Duncans are a classic coral and a great one. hardy and good eaters that can grow fast. I always keep these around! Just give them a little of what ever fish food your feeding at the time. mysis, reef frenzy etc

I must say I've not actually feed mine directly. It is only 2 months old in relationship to my tank and is a single head frag. Since the last month and a half there are now two new heads emerging and they are growing pretty fast. I do feed the tank a mix of reef roids and IPSF coral food. So maybe they get that from the water column. No idea. I'll have to try and target feed it next time I feed my anemones.

Do you target feed it, or just throw it in your tank and watch the magic happen? If you target feed, how do you do this when you're on vacation?

Love duncans . I target target feed some frozen on occasion, but mainly just let it catch whatever I'm feeding the tank (typically brine, mysis). I have an auto feeder (Avast Marine Plank) that runs a few times/day with freeze dried plankton, I'm away from the tank for a week at a time regularly and this is its progress:

i feed LRS Nano Frenzy....about twice a week with a long spot feeding eyedropper...thaw a small chunk in a 1 oz cup of tank water, chop it up and squirt bits into each head...just came back from over a month vacation and it was fine without being fed...even grew another head...started with a single one, its now up to 8....i swear i read somewhere that it shouldn't be fed too often or there would be issues with undigested food in its gut but i have no idea where i saw that or if its even true
