So I know this is a debated topic that mysis is more nutritional and better for saltwater fish then enriched brine shrimp but my clowns rarely eat mysis I do feed them it once in a while usually only the bigger one eats a piece or too since it’s so big but also I feed my royal gramma brine shrimp only right now as he is new and hard to get him to eat newer foods what do you guys think ? I also think enriched brine is better then flakes but probably now pellets

The best diet is a varied diet, feed them everything
I’ve had everyone for about two weeks so I mean is enriched brine and a few pieces of mysis every other day good ? Oh and also do royal grammas eat the cocopas or whatever they are called ?

I feed brine, pellets, flake, mysis, nori and a few others so try to do a verity of different things but yes what you're doing now is OK. And yes grammas do eat both copepods and amphipods, atleast mine does.

Ok great

and also I have a sexy shrimp I don’t really spit feed seems like he’s not very interested and moves around when lights dim out does he just eat bits of algae and other stuff ?

I feed a diy food of
Shrimp
Mussles
Clams
Oysters
Squid
Octopus
Fish eggs
Freeze dried plankton
And white sw fish.

They eat pretty much anything they are opportunistic feeders just be aware they might taste your corals or their host anemone.

A mixed diet is always good. I recently bought a pair of clowns and wondered if they were eating enough as well.

I honestly think enriched brine is good for any new fish to get them to eat but later on I guess we should start giving a little mysis shrimp just a few pieces and mixing other stuff into their diet !

I would not recommend feeding just enriched brine long term. Add a quality pellet food like NLS or TDO and a more balanced frozen food like Reef Frenzy at a minimum.

These days, aside from one frozen Mysis meal a day, I feed primarily flakes and freeze-dried Calanus for the ease of it and because it is the least hassle with the best nutritional value. All my fish (with the exception of my pipefish and mandarins) eat the flakes aggressively, including all my regal angels and marine bettas:

I feed frozen garlic enriched mysis, brine, copepods and krill. I also drop a few algae pellets. I’ll be feeding nori sheets as soon as I buy more algae eaters. I don’t use flakes or other pellets
