Hello all, im here to ask yall to help me figure out what to stock my 10 gallon nuvo with. It is a mixed reef. But my fallow period is almost coming to an end and i dont know what to get.. I want something that will swim around and be active. I was thinking about a hectors goby or rainfords goby but it seems like unless they take prepared foods they have a high chance of starving.
My other fish i was thinking of was a purple fire fish.. But ive heard they hide to.
Maybe even a blenny if there are any small enough for my tank..
I want something kinda unique but not to exspensive.

Also would a 10 gallon be to small for a coral beauty angel? Ive seen them recomended before for nanos.. But not positive..
But any insight or anything will be apreciated!!

Fire fish are beautiful but not too active so I wouldn't go there. A 10g doesn't give you much room to play with. Maybe a small gobie or blenney would be my best idea. There are lots too choose from but be sure to check their adult size before buying them.
Actually, now that I think of it I would get sexy shrimp if I had a 10g. I have always been fascinated with these little guys and in that size of a tank you would be able to enjoy them.

Coral beauty is out of the question IMO. Maybe a yellow tang?? J/K. Fire fish are nice but they jump a lot. Look into barnacle blennies. Lots of personality.
I was thinking more of a trigger IMO. Lol jk what about a tailspot blenny..? They say 10 gallons is enough for them and the dont get to big.. How they normally act in the tank?

A trigger, nice! I'm not familiar with the tailspot blenny. I thought I read somewhere they can chomp on coral, could be mistaken so don't quote me on that. Dotty backs can be territorial, how about a royal gramma?

I've heard a few bennies like to munch coral, but also see many people keep then in a reef. If you get one make sure is adult size is around 2". That's sit as big as I'd go in a tank that size. I just moved my coral banded shrimp over to my IM 14g peninsula. That's my "fish."

Well i had a swales swiissguard basselet and a clown fish in there before but something happened while i was gone on vacation and they all died.. Loved my clown fish a lot!! Awesome guy the basselet mainly hid the whole time except for food.

I was thinking about that.. Maybe even a pair.. But i want something else with function.. Thats why i was looking at gobys or blennys to be the second fish..
You could try a clown there pretty active and cheap.

Why not a small school of yellow tail damsels or green chromis. I think they look sweet in smaller tanks.

I think i may settle on an orchid dotty back.. I still want to reasearch them but i think they are truly pretty fish.

Well i got the dotty back!
Lobe every bit of him so far. Now that hes in here im thinking i may just leave it as a 1 fish tank.
