What to put in media basket

Good evening guys,
I've had a Fluval M90 for a few months now and I just ordered an Intank media basket. The tank has 4 chambers. The first one currently has the protein skimmer, second is a refugium with caeto, third is empty and fourth has the heater and return pump. Im going to move the protein skimmer to the third chamber and put the media basket in the first chamber. I currently don't have any fishes in the tank just a clean up crew due to an ich outbreak but I want to have a better filtration before I start adding fishes. What do you guys recommend I should put in the media basket?

In my media basket I have filter floss, purigen and seachem matrix. And welcome BTW.

Thanks. One question I was reading that some people also use carbon at the bottom of the basket while using purigen but there were also some that said that carbon shouldn't be used while using purigen. What do you think?

Floss- purigen-chemipure elite same tank same basket. Floss real gets dirty fast on mine change 2-3 times a week
