what to run in filter basket

So I have 3 trays in my filter basket and I have an empty tray just wondering if I should add something or leave it blank

Right now I am running carbon and gfo in a reactor

1 tray has filter floss
1 tray has marineland ceramic rings

Hi, I have the 30 gallon jbj and in one filter basket I have filter floss, seachem purigen and the sponge that came with it as it stops the water fall sound. In the other one I have the sponge chemi clear blue and phosban. I'm going to order chemi clear matrix (I think that's right for sure its matrix) and it's doing a great job on all of my parameters. Hope this helps.
