What to use for dosing

Hey reefers I have an lps/softies tank I’m currently using Red Sea to dose my tank I was looking at the all for reef tropic marin just wanted to know if it would be better than Red Sea?

Many people like All For Reef because it provides all your elements in one, which means automated dosing can be done with a single head.

I don't think it's necessarily better or worse - it just depends on your needs and requirements. Both will work well at maintaining your levels.

i've used both. found better success with the red sea stuff as the all for reef was raising certain trace elements too high for my liking via ICP testing.

Keep it simple, easy, and cheap.

Kalkwasser (calcium hydroxide). It’s the cheapest and has the highest pH boost. It’s amazing for soft coral and LPS tanks

Sodium carbonate or bicarbonate for alkalinity and calcium chloride for calcium is another idea.

ESV 2 part works well for me. All I need to dose is alk and calcium

Including pH, what are your current levels and how quickly are they depleted? What RedSea products are you dosing at present? How old is the tank?

Esv 2 part in my 45 and I have been running A4R in my 20g. Only down side would be for larger systems. My tank is 5 months old and I dose 30ml once a day to maintain an alk of 7. Its only been a few weeks but I like what im seeing so far. I plan to run it for at least 6 months and longer if it can handle the consumption.
It took 9 days of adding alk on top of the A4R before it kicked in.
